Captain Tilley lights up the day

Gerrans CC were back to winning ways today with an emphatic 117 run win against Redruth 3rd XI despite all-rounder Henry Stirzaker and opening bowler Joseph Tilley not being available.

Captain Simon Tilley starred with a magnificent 97 not out containing 11 fours and one six, ably supported in an undefeated 113 run fifth wicket partnership by Tristan Perry (33*).  Freddie Tilley (21) and Jason Holt (22) also contributed useful middle order runs.

The bowlers lines this week were much improved.  Wickets were shared around between Simon Tilley (3-18), Charlie Baker (2-33), Tristan Perry (2-19) and Freddie Tilley (2-9).

Gerrans Cricket Club welcomes Wendron Cricket Club for a home fixture on Saturday 27th May.  Play starts at 13:30 and all support is appreciated.
