Cornwall Council is asking residents affected by yesterday’s floods to get in touch to help build up a picture of the impact the heavy rains had on the county.
A deluge of up to 50mm fell throughout the county during Thursday causing flooding across south Cornwall.
The information on flooded homes will help the Council and the Environment Agency to identify the reasons why some areas were affected and others were not and look at how this can be prevented, or the impact reduced, in future.
Council officers will also be able to offer advice to those homeowners who were affected by yesterday’s flooding on steps they can take.
The Council would also like to hear from anyone who has photos or video footage of the floods.
Please email details of flood affected properties or photos to cornwallflood@cornwall.gov.uk or call 0300 1234 100.
