01.05.11: The first Roseland Online garage sale, in partnership with King Harry, was a huge success last weekend and blessed with wonderful weather. Visited by hundreds of people, especially in the first couple of hours, there were even people travelling around all 15 locations to see what each had to offer.

Locations from St Mawrs to Tregony and most villages in between got involved and much money was riased for charity. Local businesses, too, boosted their sales and everyone got chance to pass on unwated goods to new loving homes.

The best feature of all, though, seemed to be the community spirit. The event brought people together and, when travelling around myself, I got to learn about many Roseland Online readers’ lives, the community they live in and their love for our humble publication.

On the back of this, another event is planned in the summer and, to improve the service, most preferred to stage it on a Saturday and have an earlier start and capped end… and of course, we’re here to oblige. So, watch this space for news of the upcoming dates and well done everyone, both buyers and sellers, who took part!
