Two Roseland women in Ruan High Lanes are encourage locals to hold a ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’ in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The national initiative by Marie Curie is to raise money for Marie Curie Nurses, who care for terminally ill people in neighbourhoods around the UK and Louisa Beetham and Annabelle Sylvester would like to hear from anyone wishing to host their own.
Louisa told Roseland Online, “I would like to encourage people to hold a Blooming Great Tea Party either at home with a few friends or in the garden with their local community. Every cup of tea and every slice of cake enjoyed will help provide more Marie Curie Nursing to terminally ill people in your local area.”
Louisa, who also runs a local Crockery Hire Company is prepared to offer a 50{c8c3b3d140ed11cb7662417ff7b2dc686ffa9c2daf0848ac14f76e68f36d0c20} discount to all who book her crockery for The Blooming Great Tea Party 2013.
Annabelle added, “Fundraising Groups organise a range of activities from local collections to tea parties and quizzes. They represent the charity locally by encouraging and supporting local fundraising. We are looking for members in the Roseland area to help make a difference in our local community to enable Cornwall’s Marie Curie Nurses to deliver more care to those who need it.”
The Tea Parties can be held any time throughout the summer and to register your interest on the Marie Curie website, click here.
