18.03.12 A local has asked Roseland Online to pass on the following information to residents:
Dear All,
I have been asked by the police to advise Neighbourhood Watch members of a break in to a house on Marine Parade, St Mawes, which occurred on Friday afternoon between 2pm and 5pm. A number of items of jewellery were taken together with some cash.
Two people were observed, by a number of members of the public, approaching houses and looking through the windows of properties, however no-one alerted the police.
The descriptions of the two suspects are one was aged about 50 years old wearing sunglasses and carrying a rucksack and the other one was wearing a black shell suit/track suit and a woolly hat. It is believed that they may have come across from Falmouth.
If anyone has neighbouring property that is not currently occupied they are asked to look around and make sure that it has not been broken into. (There was no apparent damage to the property on Marine Drive).
The police stress that if anyone sees anything that they regard as suspicious that they notify the police immediately and give them a chance to apprehend the suspicious characters.
The police can be contacted by telephoning 999 for ongoing occurrences or on 101 if you have any information that may help them.
Please pass this information down the line.
