We have received reports of thefts from vehicles parked in beauty spot car parks. Officers are investigating a report of theft from a BMW which was parked in the area of Gorran Haven, St Austell, this was committed sometime between 10:45AM and 11:15AM on Saturday 3 May 2014. A window was smashed and a wallet stolen. Other reports have come from the areas of Par and Caerhays, St Austell and Carne Veryan, Truro.

Please be extra careful when parking your vehicle in isolated beauty spots and remove valuables from your vehicle, secure all doors and windows before leaving your vehicle and be extra aware of anyone loitering around the area. Please take a note of any vehicle registration numbers if you suspect people are behaving in a suspicious manner or loitering and notify us by phoning 101 quoting crime GA/14/1326 or 999 if a crime is taking place. Please inform others of this. Thank you.
