Congratulations from Roseland Online to the organisers and participants in two great charity fundraising events on The Roseland over last weekend.
St Gerrans Church and the Treloan Summer Fayre raised over £3000 to be shared between Shelterbox, Truro Foodbank and Emmaus Cornwall. There were loads of attractions at the fete and an auction took place in the evening. Debs Walker from Treloan and Alison Arthur said “This exceed all our expectations, we really want to pass on a big thank to all those supported the fete and dinner”.
A Blooming Great Tea Party was held on Friday 6th June at Humfrey’s Farm Shop near Tregony. The tea party was very well supported within the Roseland Community and an amazing £290.96 was raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care. This will provide 14 hours of nursing for terminally ill patients in their own homes right here in Cornwall.
Barbara Michell, owner of Humfrey’s Farm Shop told Roseland Online “I was more than happy to support Marie Curie and The Roseland Group with their tea party as it is such a worthwhile cause. I held a tea party here 2 years ago and it was such a great success that I was delighted to have the opportunity to support the charity’s fantastic work once again.”
