She might be willing to prostitute herself to save the café, if society didn’t deem this highly immoral. To add insult to injury, her boyfriend Harry has left her, and her conviction that he’ll be back within a fortnight is slowly waning. She could ask her sister for the money, but they’re not all that close, in part due to the demands of her family life. On the surface Fleabag may seem over sexed, emotionally underdeveloped and narcissistic, but slowly her vulnerability emerges and some uncomfortable home truths are revealed. Clockhouse Player Panto - ' Ali-Baba & the Forty Thieves (until 22/2), 19:30 – 22:00 – Our pantomime this year is very loosely based on one of the tales from 1001 Arabian Nights (but with the removal of the more bloodthirsty elements). However, we have maintained all the traditional elements of pantomime, with evil baddies to boo, dashing heroes to cheers, a dame to laugh with, singing and dancing, glamorous costumes, fabulous sets, not to mention an irascible parrot and a stubborn old camel! We promise you a pantomime full of fun and frolics for the whole family to enjoy. Of course, a happy ending is a certainty, but you will have to visit Tregony Village Hall in February half-term week to find out the rest. So brighten up your New Year and join us for ‘Ali-Baba & the Forty Thieves’. Tickets will be on sale in Londis Shop, Tregony (530633) from Monday 13th January. If you can’t wait until then to get your ticket, Lynne will be happy to take ‘Early Bird’ bookings and block booking of 10+ with generous discounts (01872 530374).
