The annual ‘Concert For Thirza’ was again a roaring success. Thanks to ‘The New Seekers’ and ‘The Mixtures’ musicians, Mick Flinn and Mark Hankins, and all the other local musicians who played, there was a night of great entertainment. The raffle and auction amassed an astounding £1116.41 for the various charities (50{c8c3b3d140ed11cb7662417ff7b2dc686ffa9c2daf0848ac14f76e68f36d0c20} for Penaligon’s Friends and 50{c8c3b3d140ed11cb7662417ff7b2dc686ffa9c2daf0848ac14f76e68f36d0c20} for other local charities) and there was a real feeling of community spirit the whole evening.

Organisers, Fred and Jemima Whittall want to thank everyone who donated prizes for both the raffle and auction and everyone who was involved in making the night such a great success and hope the event will grow even further next year. Watch this space for news on that!
