The planned performance of the Veryan Player’s production of ‘Dad’s Army’ will have to be put on ice until November.
“Our chairman is beginning to feel he is destined not to have a show at the memorial Hall, Portscatho,” said Publicity Officer, Coral Pepper. “For two consecutive years he had assembled a cast who eagerly anticipated performing “Stepping Out” and both times the publishers withdrew performance rights. This summer was “Dad’s Army” however, due to other commitments, many of the company were not available, so that has been moved to Veryan hall between 24th to 27th November.”
There is a meeting planned on 2nd September in Veryan Parish hall at 7.30pm to for those interested in performing, being part of the crew, or just becoming a helper and Roseland Online will announce that again later in the season in our announcement pages.
