The Anglers of Roseland Society and Enterprise, not to be outdone by the Olympics and in an attempt to settle many bar room disputes, have decided to hold a small shore fishing competition on the morning of October 13th.
Pairs of anglers (don’t worry if you come alone you can be paired off or fish alone) are invited to enter this small, informal gathering which is hosted by the Hidden Hut at Porthcurnick Beach.
There, the budding anglers, both men and women, can enjoy a coffee and a bacon roll whilst plotting their locations, methods and bait for the day ahead’s challenge.
The rules are simple:
• Maximum 2 rods per angler
• Any rod method acceptable
• Only palatable fish (no wrasse) within the legal limit (sizes will be made available on the day) will be included in the weigh in, which will take place at 4pm sharp.
• Fish anywhere on the Roseland shoreline, NO estuary fishing.
The entry fee is £5 per angler and the winning presentation will take place at the Harbour Club, Portscatho, after the event.
Fresh bait will be available on the morning of the event from The Hut and if you have any fut=rther questions, prospective anglers should Email Roy Young on: reyoung71@btinternet.com
