15.11.11: To coincide with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the Heritage Centre in Gerrans will be mounting an exhibition about the last 60 years in the parish. They have some photographs from the 2002 Golden Jubilee exhibition, but would be interested in acquiring many more for this exhibition.
They are particularly interested in any photographs taken in the 1950’s and 1960’s which show how much the parish has changed over the years. Shops, businesses, housing and farms have probably seen the greatest changes, but people and events over the last 60 years are also important.
All photographs that are used will be copied so that the original can be returned to the owner and not actually displayed. If you have any photographs that you think are suitable please they would like to hear from you. You can contact Ros Brown on 580927 or Pam Case on 580588.
