08.04.12: The Hidden Hut on Portcurnick Beach (one of the two Roseland Peninsula businesses to start in this year’s Caroline Quentin’s Cornwall TV show on ITV) have announced their summer ‘feast’ dates and tickets will be available to book from tomorrow morning through their new online booking system.
Their feast nights were undoubtedly one of the highlights of last year’s Roseland calendar and the feature on this TV show has only highlighted that popularity.
Jemma Glass and Simon Stallard told Roseland Online, “We’ve been inundated with people asking about the feast nights and want to be fair to both locals and holiday makers, hence the online booking system. Last year you could only get a ticket if you came to the hut, which was difficult if you didn’t live in Portscatho. With this online booking system a portion of tickets can be bought for the evening online, allowing for holidaymakers to enjoy our feasts, too, when they come down.”
The dates are already live on their website (www.hiddenhut.co.uk) and the booking of tickets will be possible from tomorrow morning.
The first feast of the year took place on Friday night this week and was, as last year, full of fun for everyone. They also pulled back the cloths on some new tables, made from an entire tree from nearby Tregothnan estates, and a freshly turfed landscaped bank.
A ‘feastie’ told Roseland Online, “It was a magnificent evening. What else do you expect with such great food and a stunning location. And when two dolphins swim by while your there – which they did last night – what more can you ask? Judging by this opening event, it’s going to be a great summer ahead.”
Whilst helping Gemma at the Hidden Hut, Simon is also running his own alfresco dining experiences with his ‘Cornish Paella’. More about this can be found on his dedicated website (www.cornishpaella.co.uk) and in the food and drink section of our own Wedding Planner.
