Local animal rights campaigner, Mary Alice Pollard, is asking locals to consider donating a toy for an Army dog in the various war zones. The serving dogs receive little in the way of play toys, despite saving lives in their work as search and rescue for the army, and this bonding play time is necessary for both dog and handler alike.

Mary is asking locals to either drop off something (a ball, rubber ‘fetch’ toy, etc) at her home at 3, The Square, Gerrans and she will make sure it gets out to the dogs in those areas. Alternatively toys can be sent direct to; Troop’s Relief, 59 Margate Rd, Herne Bay, Kent, CT6 7BH.

The deadline for Mary’s own shipment is Friday 8th October. Please give generously.
