The Roseland Peninsula, in particular Veryan, has starred in another national TV show screened yesterday. ‘My Tasty Travels’ with Lynda Bellingham came to the village to partake in tennis, a barn dance and visited both Tregothnan and Portscatho on her visit.
The ITV show sees Lynda travelling around the UK visitng off-the-track places to savour their fayre and to enjoy the various community events in her VW camper van, Battenburg.
Lynda played tennis at Veryan Tennis club, enjoyed a cuppa and made a bouquet at Tregothnan estates, cracked crab with Portscatho’s Taffinder family at their Curgurrell Farm Shop, and visited Melinsey Mill before enjoying an evening in Veryan at a barn dance, helping raise money for the sport’s centre.
We’re delighted that, once again, the Roseland Peninsula and South Central Cornwall has been featured on national TV, which will help confirm the arera as one of the best holiday locations in the UK; and more features are on their way in the coming months, judging by the amount of filming that has been going on here.
