This year’s Roseland Festival will open on 20th September and run through until 4th October.
Following the Festival’s launch evening for Members and Sponsors, tickets for the Roseland Festival are now on sale. A leaflet giving information of all the events taking place was inserted in the last edition of the Roseland Magazine and extra brochures can also be found at local Post Offices, shops, inns and lots of other places on the Roseland. For those of you who did not see it, you can find a diary of events here
Organisers have told Roseland Online that Ivor Bowditch’s Clay Pit Safaris and Colin Bristow’s Pendower Geological Trail are already sold out, as is the guided historical walk around Tregony and the Pendower Geological trail. Many of the other events are three quarters sold already and they expect tickets will sell quickly, especially for Roseland Poets & Pasties, Rob Wing’s ‘ All Things Fishy’, and the Owdyado Theatre which were such popular events in previous years. So if you want any tickets, now’s the time!
The musical events featuring Jacka Jazz, Truro Choir, and the St Austell Town Band are always very well attended and the talks about D.H. Lawrence’s Cornwall, Women in the RNLI, the locally shot BAFTA film “Island Queen” and Lamorran Gardens all have connections with The Roseland. The Scilly Isles will also feature when Michael Morpurgo talks about the sinking of the Lusitania.
Details of events and how to obtain tickets can be found at the Festival Website. Roseland Online will keep in touch with the organisers as the Festival draws closer and pass on any news regarding ticket sales and availability.
