The Fisherman’s Shelter in Portscatho will be hosting a first exhibition of photographs by James Hatchley on 24th and 25th August in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and the RNLI.
Readers will remember the Roseland Online article about James and his wife, Rhona’s very kind donation of a diving platform in Portscatho in memory of their daughter, Emma.
James’ exhibition is made up of a small selection of the many photographs he has taken of the Portscatho Regatta over the last ten years.
James has been a keen amateur photographs for a very long time and above all else, loves to focus on capturing the majesty of sailing boats when racing. He is regularly found at sea with his camera in and around the Fal Estuary and its surrounding coastline, as well as in the Solent. The majority of his pictures are of the sailing part of the Portscatho Regatta, but there are also a number of images from the beach games and of the wonderful St Denis Band.
The body of work epitomises James’ personal take on the spirit of what we all know to be a very special day for everyone in Portscatho.
Stickers are available for all small people visiting the exhibition – please bring a grown up!
