After meeting with BT Openreach and Superfast Broadband for Cornwall representatives, Roseland Online founder editor, Mark David Hatwood, has put together a full report for the proposed rollout of Superfast Fibre Optic Broadband for the Roseland.
Mark told Roseland Online, “It was a particularly productive meeting and, in excess of BT’s 80{c8c3b3d140ed11cb7662417ff7b2dc686ffa9c2daf0848ac14f76e68f36d0c20} aims, many parts of the Roseland will receive Superfast Broadband in advance of the end 2014 deadline. In fact, by June next year, many will already be able to purchase this product. This will have a huge impact for many businesses and locals in the area.”
There are some areas which, due to their remote location will not receive it on this tranche of the implementation, but even those areas will get an uplift in the future from their current speeds using technology like ADSL+.
Mark added, “The good news is that Martin and I have negotiated three areas that could get Superfast Broadband put in if enough people sign up to the scheme – Rosevine, Philleigh and Ruan Lanihorne. So we urge everyone in those areas to become pro-active and hand out flyers or email flyers to their neighbours. We cannot stress the importance of action now as this is sure to be the last chance theses areas will have to get Superfast Broadband for the foreseeable future.”
