Trethem Mill Touring Park has continued its impressive run of awards by winning another gold at the South West Tourism Excellence Awards 2014-2015. Ian, Jane & Jake proudly collected the title of “Holiday Park & Village of the Year” at a ceremony held in the Great Hall of the Grand Pier in Weston-Super-Mare.
Chair of Judges, Alistair Handyside, said, “The list of finalists really does look like a who’s who of the best in the industry in the South West. Once again the entrants have surpassed themselves in showing that investment, innovation and creativity remain at the heart of the visitor economy in the region”
Within the last six years Trethem Mill has been awarded three gold titles at these awards, as well as the prestigious “Winner of Winners” in 2013.
This latest award is the fourth gold accolade that the Park has been awarded within the past year as it was also named “Camping and Caravan Park of the Year” at the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2014. Last Autumn botanist David Bellamy announced the Park had achieved his conservation award at the top gold level and praised the wildlife initiatives and efforts made to protect and enhance the natural world.
Trethem Mill was also one of just a handful of parks in 2014 to receive the prestigious gold award given out by Visit England to its highest rated parks for exceptional quality standards and customer service.
The park has now been nominated to represent the region at the National Enjoy England Awards for Excellence in May.
