A new football team Truro City Warriors is to be formed under the auspices of Truro City Football Club.
Speaking to Roseland Online, Club Secretary Vance Hinley said, “We are absolutely delighted to have been given permission from Mr Peter Masters, Chairman of Truro City Football Club, to open a new Truro City under 16’s Club which will be named Truro City Warriors.
“We are very privileged as this is a wonderful opportunity for new players to join our new team. Our new team is not part of the Truro City youth football club it is a part of the main Truro City Football Club. Mr Masters has very kindly agreed to allow us to play all matches at Truro City home ground and also at the new stadium when it is built. He has also very kindly agreed to supply the new teams football kit”.
Deba Sidhu, one of the trainers at Truro City football Club has agreed to be Team Manager and Trainer. He will be assisted by Ian Leigh, himself a trainer with Truro City.
Tregony Sports and Social Club will host all fundraising and social events for the team so with the affiliation process under way, the team is now looking for players. If anyone out there is interested, they can find all the details by clicking here!
