Veryan is to get its first official tea towel – all in the name of charity!
Speaking to Roseland Online, Dee Field said “Before moving to Cornwall, I had lived in various districts in British Isles, which all seem to had a memento of some sort, mostly tea-towels or aprons etc.
“With that in mind and since moving to Veryan 18 months ago, I decided to design and have printed a ‘Veryan’ tea towel which incorporates the village, centred round the bridge. They come in a light and dark pink heart design. I hope to have a Roseland design in the near future too!
“I am going to donate all proceeds equally between the Flower Festival in the local church in August and British Heart Foundation, having moved here taking early retirement due to heart problems myself.”
The tea towels will be on sale from Dee’s home – Fern Cottage (opposite the New Inn) and are priced at £7.99. Anyone wishing to see the design in more detail can click here.
Just bought three of these lovely tea-towels, one for me, one for my daughter and one for my daughter in law because my name is Veryan !!
Thank you Dee, and good luck with your fund raising in the future
Best Wishes
