Madeleine goes to the Moon by Peter Lynas; illustrated by Charlie Roberts
Published by English Rose Publishing, 2014
Madeleine’s bedroom is full of books and all the things a girl needs to build stuff, like rockets and moon buggies. Of course, she’s not in there all day because she’s playing; she’s exploring and having adventures. Of course, that means her room’s a bit of a mess, but when you’ve got people to see, worlds to explore and places to go, what can you expect?
Colourful, bold Illustrations and a sweet little story (unnervingly like my own childhood) told in verse. I’d like to think it would encourage today’s children to have their own adventures.
