Oiling the parts other beers do not reach!
From Balloch to Killin. A gentle climb out of Balloch then, unless Chris and I take a vow of temperance, a village we’ll probably never stay in called Drymen! Big climb out and on to Aberfoyle (sounds like it should be in Wales), then even bigger climb out through the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, down past the aptly named Loch Drunkie and along shores of Loch Venhagar to Callender for late lunch. Off then along Loch Lubnaig and steepest climb of day up to a (disused) railway line and over the viaduct which takes the Hogwarts Express to Hogwarts. 3.5 mile descent then into Killin. Great!
Stats: 57.3 miles 6hrs 30 8.8 mph 4260 elevation.
