After the recent article in the Falmouth Packet about St Mawes and Trelissick ferries, Roseland Online has been in contact with Caroline Harvey, General Manager at Fal River Ltd, for some clarification.
Speaking to Roseland Online, Caroline said “We have decided to retire the May Queen and Kingsley II and put them up for sale. May Queen has been part of our fleet for years, often sailing on the route from Custom House Quay (CHQ) in Falmouth to St Mawes in the summer months. This does not mean we shall be cancelling the CHQ service, simply that we shall be putting another ferry on the route.
She added, “As for Kingsley II, she is an experimental hybrid vessel which we used on the St Mawes/Trelissick route (set up specifically for that boat). We have decided not to include that route in next year’s schedules for 2020 – of course other vessels will continue to call there.”
We hope Roseland Online‘s article has helped put the record straight for some and given clarity, but please do contact us if you have any further queries.
