Around 17 children, both local and holidaymakers, gathered at the Memorial Hall in Portscatho on Tuesday (13th) for a morning of craft and fun. With paint up to their elbows, the children displayed a great deal of concentration, making shields of faith, dragons, flags and cakes in celebration of St George’s Day.
St George (Of the legend St George And The Dragon) is the patron saint of England and identified with the ideals of honour, courage, bravery and gallantry. He will be remembered at the Family Service at St Gerrans Church on Sunday 25th April at 10am. Everyone is welcome, whether participants of the craft morning or not.
