Cornwall Council’s housing officers in partnership with Devon and Cornwall Housing Association and Penwith Housing Association will be holding a Housing Information Surgery at Portscatho Memorial Hall from 2.30pm – 7.00pm on Tuesday 13 July.
Help and advice will be on offer to people from the local community who are interested in the new development of 30 affordable homes for rent and Homebuy, (part rent part buy) which are currently being constructed for people with a housing need who have a strong local connection to the parish of Gerrans.
Cornwall Council officers and other housing experts will be available to talk to people about their individual housing needs.
Cornwall Council cabinet member for housing Mark Kaczmarek said: “This new housing development will provide much needed new homes when it is completed in December and we want to make sure that those with a local connection are aware of how and when the homes will be allocated.”
Cornwall Councillor for Roseland Julian German said: “I hope that local people will drop in to find out more about this development. The 23 homes for rent and the 7 for part rent part buy will be available to those people with a strong local connection and this information surgery will explain how to express their interest formally.”
