The St Mawes Classic Car Festival will take place again this year between 6th – 10th May raising money for local charity Children’s Hospice South West.
On Thursday afternoon the Concours d’Elegance in the harbour quay where the cars will be judged by Bonhams and will stay there for people to enjoy view until the parade lap around the village at 6:45pm.
This year there is a washing service before the line up at Hotel Tresanton car park where they will be encouraging all car owners to take advantage of this in return for a donation to Children’s Hospice South West.
Local Sea Shanty group Du Hag Owr will be singing and the best of Cornwall’s Food and Drink will see Cornish beer and cider on sale.
Mary Murfin, local Community Fundraiser for CHSW’s Little Harbour children’s hospice, said, “We are delighted that the Concours d’Elegance is being held in aid of Children’s Hospice South West again this year. It is a lovely evening out helping a very special cause to boot!”
Since it was established three years ago, the Concours d’Elegance has helped raise over £2000 for Children’s Hospice South West through collections and fundraisers on the day.
Through its homely hospices Children’s Hospice South West provides a lifeline of care and support for families with children who are not expected to reach adulthood. All money raised at this year’s event will go towards keeping this vital service going.
