29.09.11: This month we welcome two new members to the growing Roseland Online team. Lou Tonkin, our new sub editor for Gorran and surrounding districts and Vanessa Matthews, who will be covering all aspects of food.

Lou is a local who has just returned from living in Wales with her husband and three children. As a prolific designer since childhood and studying illustration at Falmouth College, she now specialises in textile design and illustration through her website (www.loutonkin.co.uk). And our newest features writer, local resident Vanessa Matthews, will be giving us her thoughts on lovely local food in her new monthly feature, Cornish Pantry. An experienced writer and ‘foodie’, Vanessa has dined at some of the best restaurants across the UK and Europe, but it’s the fine produce available right here in Cornwall that inspires her the most. Each month, she will be scouring South Central Cornwall to bring together a selection of delicious recipes, chef interviews, top tips and a selection of the latest news from local food businesses. Vanessa will also be out and about sampling the temptingly tasty dishes on offer in a series of restaurant and food reviews over the coming months, check out or new Hidden Gems page for more information on that.
