An Asian Hornet has been reported in Fowey. The National Bee Unit is responding and searching for any nests in the vicinity of the sighting.

Could all Roseland residents similarly keep a look-out for any unusual “hornet-like” insects and their nests (see Colin Rees’ monthly BeeMania reports for more information on this exotic pest) and report sightings via email to alertnonnative@ceh.ac.uk with photographs if possible.
