I want a pet by Lauren Child – Published by Frances Lincoln Children’s Books

Not a new book, but so delightful I couldn’t resist it.  What happens when you want a pet, but everyone in the family has a view? Well, you can rule out a lion, an octopus or a sheep and quite a lot of other animals. You just have to keep trying until you find something that suits everyone.

Quite a short book, wryly amusing and delightfully illustrated.  I’m not an expert but I’d guess that children aged 3+ would enjoy it and would be happy to hear it again and again. It certainly made me laugh.
