A concert by the renowned Mevagissey Male Choir and St Neot’s Canoryon Lowen raised over £1,000 for Cornwall Hospice Care on Saturday 14th November.
A packed audience at Tywardreath Church were treated to stirring performances by the two choirs over two hours. When the final count was over, proceeds from ticket sales, a raffle and a collection came to an astonishing £1,158.06.
Karen Murrish, Fundraiser for CHC told Roseland Online “Cornwall Hospice Care are delighted to have the support Mevagissey Male Choir and Canoryon Lowen. It is always great to hear of events such as the concert when people have clearly had an enjoyable time whilst also supporting our charity.
“We rely heavily on the support of our local communities to ensure that we continue to provide our specialist services to the people of Cornwall living with life limiting illnesses. On behalf of everyone at the charity I would like to thank the organisers and everyone who supported the event.”
Mevagissey Male Choir will be next be performing at Probus Parish Church on Saturday 28th November, starting at 7.30pm.
