The Veryan Players are seeking some fresh faces in their plan to bring Terry Pratchett’s ‘Discworld’ to life at Portscatho Memorial Hall this coming summer. It’s based in a world where anything can happen and is sure to be another great production by the popular Roseland Am-Dram group.
Performances will take place on Thursdays and Fridays, 25th and 26th July and 1st and 2nd August. There will be an initial play reading at Veryan Parish Hall on Tuesday, 29 January at 7.30 pm.
Veryan Player, Father Doug Robins told Roseland Online, “We need lots of men, although several of the parts have very few lines.”
Terry Pratchett’s ‘Wyrd sisters’, adapted by Stephen Briggs, involves some wonderful witches, a dastardly duke, a clever fool, some strolling players and a missing crown.
Doug added, “This play isn’t just funny – it’s hilarious, both for the audience and the cast.”
If you would like to be involved come along to the reading. If you can’t make that evening please let the director, Fr Doug Robins, (01872 501618 or email him under: fatherdougrobins@talktalk.net), to let him know of your interest and he’ll get back to you.
