Tenet Starring John David Washington Robert Pattinson & Elizabeth Debicki Directed by Christopher Nolan
Armed with only one word, Tenet, and fighting for the survival of the entire world, a Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time.
If that dust jacket synopsis helps you to get to the bottom of Nolan’s latest mind-bender, you’re a better person than I. I can completely see why this film wither got five stars or just one. Nolan’s films (Inception, Interstellar, etc.) are always cause for thought, but this undeniably exciting movie is a whole new brain-fryer and was always going to be an acquired taste.
It’s true I’m a fan. I love all of Nolan’s films and he’s a seriously exciting dramatist, but this is one I’ll no doubt have to watch a few times before I get any near understanding the plot twists.
Verdict: It’ll tax your braincells from start to end, but the ride is a powerful one, for sure! ****
