Visitors will be able to experience a wealth of marine and maritime businesses from across our region and from Falmouth including local boat builders, ferry companies and water-sports specialists all against the backdrop of a festival of local food, drink and entertainment.Milly

Experts Chris “Olly” Oliver and Reed Downing from across the Carrick Roads at Mylor Yacht Harbour will be demonstrating the laying of the classic layered teak boat’s foredeck. Also on show will be in the shape of “Milly”, the Sunbeam yacht who was built at Mylor, the only yard in recent years to build new wooden Sunbeams like the ninety year old originals.

St Mawes Harbour Master Gary Cairns and the boat show committee have been organising this inaugural event, which is sponsored by the St Mawes Pier and Harbour Company.

Speaking to Roseland Online Gary said: “St Mawes is one of the most scenic historic harbours in the country, and our aim is to provide a showcase for some of the brilliant marine and maritime businesses and activities available around the Falmouth and Roseland areas in this wonderful setting.”

With emergency service demonstrations and “tasters” for kayaking, paddle-boarding and RIB-blasts, delicious local victuals and live music, St Mawes is promising something for everyone and looks forward to welcoming as many people as possible to the event.
