The local National Trust ranger team have challenged themselves to walk 26 miles in one day. To raise funds for improvements and repairs to the Coast Path, they intend to start before sunrise at Place and aim to reach Portmellon before dark, walking the entire length of their coastal property.
It costs at least £1000 every year to look after one mile of Coast Path and so sponsorship for the team is essential if they are to keep the coast looking beautiful in our area.
If you would like to support them in their challenge and help raise funds for the wonderful South West Coast Path, then you can make a donation by clicking here. You can donate at any time even when their particular walk has been completed.
Throughout October the challenge is on to set the record for the number of times the South West Coast Path is walked in one month and you can learn more about the SWCP challenge, join an organised walk yourself or set your own challenge.
