Police have received several reports of Ornamental Granite Mushrooms and bases as being stolen from gardens in the East & West of Cornwall . 

These garden ornaments have been stolen from St Columb Major, Helston and Falmouth between the 13th April & 2nd May 2014. 

Residents with this type of garden ornament are asked to be aware of these thefts and mark your ornaments with your postcode, using paint or some other marker to the underside which may make them less appealing to the thief. 

Anyone offered these ornaments or able to offer information is asked to call the Devon and Cornwall Police 101 no. quoting crime ref GP/14/897.
