The chief executive of Roseland Multi Academy Trust (MAT) & Head Teacher, Neil Wilkinson-McKie, and its chair of the board of trustees, Kristy Gouldsmith, have been suspended pending an investigation in light of an undisclosed allegation.
A statement said: “The board of trustees of the Roseland Multi Academy Trust received allegations about the chief executive of the trust and head teacher of the Roseland Community College, Neil Wilkinson-McKie, and about the chair of the board of trustees, Kristy Gouldsmith.
“A decision was taken to suspend Mr Wilkinson-McKie and Ms Gouldsmith from their respective roles to allow for a robust, fair and independent investigation.
“The decision to suspend Mr Wilkinson-McKie and Ms Gouldsmith was a neutral act and does not imply any guilt on their part. We can confirm that the allegations do not concern safeguarding or financial misconduct.
“However, while this investigation is being undertaken we are unable to make any further comments about the detail of the allegations.
“We have taken steps to ensure the education of the pupils is not impacted by this. A member of the Roseland Community College’s senior leadership team, Richard Clarke, has been appointed as interim head teacher of the Roseland Community College. Chris Challis (associate head teacher of Roseland Community College) has been appointed as the interim chief executive of the Multi Academy Trust.”
We will bring you more details as they are disclosed.
