Wasted medicines cost the NHS in Cornwall almost £2 million per year. That’s enough to pay for 65 Community Nurses or 230 hip replacement operations.
We have a new campaign – Think! This is a request to you to only order the medicines you really need when handing in a repeat prescription. On the 10th December at Portscatho Surgery there will be someone to whom you can talk about the drugs you are taking. No appointment is necessary. If you are unsure about why you are taking particular medicines, or are confused about what to take and when, or are suffering from some odd possible side effects then this opportunity is for you. If you can’t get there, then please talk to your GP or Pharmacist if you are concerned.
