25.01.12: The St. Just and St. Mawes Heritage Group are putting on a special exhibition as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations this summer. The exhibition will be entitled “Royal Visits” and will be held in The Millennium Rooms, St Mawes over the Jubilee weekend Friday June 1st, 2nd, 3rd, finishing on Tuesday June 5th.

Can you help? The heritage group need to borrow any photographs or memorabilia from any royal visit to this area in past history. If you are able to date and name any of the people in the photos, too, that would be a bonus for them. They intend to then scan and enlarge photos for the exhibition and return the originals to their owners in ‘mint condition’. So, to help them out, why not have a rummage around in your old albums, drawers and cupboards to see if you have any items to contribute.
