Roseland Online would like to thank two iconic businesses who closed this week and who have served their communities faithfully for many decades.
Yesterday Chris Morse retired from his much loved business at Halwartha Garage in St Mawes. His years of service has been a huge benefit to car owners throughout the Roseland and we wish him well in his retirement.
Closing, too, today is Portscatho Post Office. Stuart and Rita, who posted their thanks to their faithful customers on Roseland Online last week, have worked hard for many years together and have been a blessing for many, especially the elderly in the village, helping in many ways that were well beyond the call of duty.
There have been many well wishes from many over the past few weeks and we would like to add our thanks to Chris his staff, and Stuart and Rita for all the years of service they have provided us all and we wish them the very best of luck in their future endeavours.
Feel free to add your best wishes below for them all to read.
As from Monday 1pm, the Portscatho Post office will open in Ralph’s Stores. For the first 10 days, it will be open from 9am – 5pm whilst the staff are training and thereafter from 7am – 7pm, 7 days a week.
Very sad to see but welcome and support the changes which cannot be avoided.
To those in both bushiness’s -:- Thank you for the years of amazing services you have given to the community and I wish you all the best for the new paths you will take in the future.
I hope that everyone will be as supportive for the new.
Change doesn’t come without a few hick-ups so be patient as it won’t be long before everything will be smooth sailing ahead.
Thank you to Portscatho Post Office for toys, ice creams, postcards and of course stamps.
