As of today, Friday 13 March, it has been reported that Western Greyhound Buses have ceased trading.

Cllr Bert Biscoe, Cabinet Member for Transport at Cornwall Council, said “This is a very sad day for public transport in Cornwall.  We are currently trying to contact the Traffic Commissioner to try and formulate some emergency provision as soon as possible on subsidised routes.”

Update: 17.00 Friday 13th March. Roseland Online has just received news that First will resume services for the Roseland from Monday. We will announce a timetable once we hear more.

550 (St Mawes – Truro)

Existing Monday to Saturday (except Public Holidays) timetable from 1 June 2014 with the following alterations:-

iii) All eastbound journeys are withdrawn between RCH Treliske and Truro city centre and will commence from Truro Bus Station at the identical departure time for Truro Boscawen Street

iv) All westbound journeys will terminate at Truro Bus Station and are withdrawn between Truro city centre and RCH Treliske

v) 0650hrs ex Tregony Square to be extended to commence from Truro Bus Station depart at 0625hrs and run two minutes later from Tregony Square (depart 0652hrs) to St Mawes Car Park (arrive 0717hrs)

vi) 0720hrs ex St Mawes Car Park journey to be retimed on Monday to Friday from Tresillian Fal Garage as follows:

Truro Uplands Crescent                0823hrs

Truro Bus Station                             0832hrs

vii) The following additional journey to be provided:-

1830hrs St Mawes Car Park to Truro Bus Station arrive 1932hrs

viii) Cornwall Council has not specified the provision of any journeys on Sunday and Public Holidays until Sunday 24 May 2015

551 (Veryan – Truro)

Existing timetable from 1 June 2014 with the following alterations:-

ix) All eastbound journeys are withdrawn between RCH Treliske and Truro city centre and will commence from Truro Bus Station at the identical departure time for Truro Boscawen Street

x) All westbound journeys will terminate at Truro Bus Station and are withdrawn between Truro city centre and RCH Treliske

xi) All journeys to be diverted between Bessiebeneath and Veryan Green in both directions to be diverted via Portloe – all journeys to Veryan Pendower Road will therefore arrive seventeen minutes later at xx26hrs and all journeys from Veryan Pendower Road will depart sixteen minutes earlier at xx31hrs (except the additional 0721hrs departure)

xii) 0725hrs Truro Bus Station to Veryan Pendower Road journey to be withdrawn between Truro Bus Station and Tregony Square (to commence from Tregony Square at 0757hrs)

xiii) The following additional journeys to be provided:-

c) 0721hrs Veryan Pendowrer Road to Tregony Square arrive 0750hrs

d) 1757hrs Tregony Square to Veryan Pendower Road arrive 1826hrs
