On Sunday 1st November over one hundred locals filled St Gerrans Church which serves small seaside and country villages on the Roseland Peninsula. The reason for the gathering was to raise funds for Shelterbox and The World Food Project for their work amongst refugees.
Diners enjoyed a wonderful three course roast luncheon courtesy of the generosity of the Hidden Hut (Porthcurnick Beach) and their staff and suppliers. Lunch was served by a team of volunteers gathered by Debs Walker, from Treloan Campsite, whose brainchild the event was.
Debs is also a member of the St Gerrans Church Council. Debs told Roseland Online “This was the most amazing event, wonderful food and a brilliant atmosphere. We are so grateful to the people from our local community who came and made such generous donations. We were overwhelmed by all the support we have had from so many people.”
