Due to the untimely collapse of ROK, who have been building the new Gerrans Hill affordable housing development in Portscatho, Roseland Online contacted the council to obtain some clarity on this near-completed site.
The council confirmed that they have sent out letters to all the prospective tenants confirming that, unfortunately, they will not now be able to move in before the New Year, as planned. However, the council did confirm to us that not only are the administrators working hard to find a suitable replacement for ROK to finish the development as quickly as possible, but they also confirmed that over 100 potential buyers for this contract have expressed an interest, so this does indicate a speedy replacement may well be found and hopefully this development won’t drag on too long into the new year before completion can be achieved. As always, Roseland Online will keep you up to date with any further developments on this issue.
